The 40,000-seat Al Thumama Stadium hosted the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™️. The stadium’s design represents the gahfiya – a traditional woven cap worn by men and boys across the Middle East. The Safiya forms a fundamental layer of the conventional clothing of the region. It is also a symbol of dignity and independence.
IDEA designed and manufactured “Urbo” FIFA 2022 Qatar edition litter bins for this project. The metal panels of the litter bins illustrate the world cup with traditional ornaments from Qatar.
